Karen's got a secret
and she knows how to use it

Karen claims me as one of hers
She says she's got the right to choose me

And she covers me with ivy
and she washes me with the snow

She says it's for your own protection
from those who want to know...

My body and my silence and affection...

Karen slowly takes my arm
and leads me from my weeping mother

She says I claim you as the one
my quiet orphan lover

She says it's kind of just like Jesus
when he turned away from the Lord

We'll fill the night up with music

I said these little trinkets here

As I kiss her ivory breast
the way the moonlight calls the water through
